Bitdefender, the world's leading cybersecurity company protecting more than 500 million systems worldwide (such as PCs), won AV-Comparatives' top award for 2019, solidifying Bitdefender's position as the company with the largest number of awards in the “Product of the Year” category awarded by the prestigious independent analysis company.
Bitdefender has taken AV-Comparatives' coveted “Product of the Year” award for the fourth time, thus collecting more wins than any other company in the past 10 years. The latest award comes after Bitdefender achieved the highest number of Advanced + ratings in tests conducted over the year and recently concluded; the areas examined covered malware protection, performance, advanced threat protection, and other categories.
In addition to the highest recognition, Bitdefender received the Silver Award for the Real-World Protection and Malware Protection categories, as well as the Bronze Award for the Advanced Threat Protection category.
In 2019, Bitdefender won all three of the top three awards from AV-TEST, another renowned independent testing institute, including Best Protection, Best Performance and Best Repair. At the same time, Bitdefender was awarded the AV-Comparatives Outstanding Product Award.
Just last month, Bitdefender was named a Leader in “The Forrester Wave ™”: Cloud Workload Security (CWS), Q4 2019 ″ report by Forrester, an independent research and consultancy firm. In October, Bitdefender was also named a leader in the nascent smart home security market by independent research and consulting firm Ovum.
