The previous director, Luis Belly, had already left Activision Blizzard last August after the allegations by abuse and harassment within Blizzard. Barriga had been part of Blizzard since 2006 and left the company along with level designer Jesse McCree and WoW designer Jonatan LeCraft. Shely made some statements.

Like many of you, our team reflected on what happened. A lot has happened since the last update and the work on the values we aspire to must always continue. In parallel with this path, the development of Diablo IV continues.

In late September, Activision Blizzard closed an equal opportunity lawsuit for $ 18 million. The company's Chief Legal Officer resigned last month. There are, however, some updates regarding the release date of Diablo IV since, already last year, the former director had announced that such a title would take some time. In the meantime, however, fans can still return to the lands of Diablo thanks to the release of Diablo II: Resurrected, remake of the second chapter.
