The blasphemies related to the fact that, like what was found in the vast majority of previous episodes (Hitman: Absolution excluded, decidedly more permissive), also remain insured here you die and you do it often.
Despite the near-perfect implementation of a disguise-related cover system that is finally perfectly intelligible, the only, endemic "defect", which could probably limit the appeal of the production to less patient potential users, must be sought in the inevitable trial and error of the series, which collaterally manages to feed the tension of the game in a masterly way.
All in all an inevitable path, considering the necessary process of divide and conquer which, from the analysis of the objective of the mission, leads to the suppression of the target.
The possibility of completing the mission following different modus operandi is even encouraged by the game itself, giving rich rewards in terms of bonus items and weapons to all those who managed to satisfy certain prerequisites.
Hitman: The Complete First Season respects the tradition of the saga also in relation to a story that simply acts as a bland connective tissue between one mission and another.
Not bad, as the infinitesimal thickness of the plot, narrated through the enjoyable cutscene, in no way undermines the enjoyment of the title. What leaves you with your mouth wide open, your jaw grazing the ground, is the majestic heterogeneity of the settings that the playful canvas makes available to the stealthy gamer.
By way of example, the challenges proposed in the sunny village of Sapienza, mainly related to the need to deceive or cancel the human resistances between Agent 47 and its targets, are reshuffled and re-adapted in the hyper-technological Hokkaido, within which a cyber AI takes the place of man, with all the annexes and connections of chance.
The longevity of the entire production settles on excellent levels, considering, moreover, the continuous implementation of new challenges conceived both by the community that video game, and by the developers.
Engaging, exciting and full of playful opportunities. Hitman: The Complete First Season represents everything a fan of the series could wish for, as well as an appeal - in physical format - addressed to all those who have not yet had the opportunity to get their hands on the game.
