In an interview with Gamingbolt, famed gaming market analyst Michael Pachter argued that Microsoft products will manage to sell more consoles than Sony thanks to the acquisition of Bethesda. According to Pachter, Xbox Game Pass it is cheaper and therefore convenient for users, who will prefer to buy one Xbox Series X o Xbox series s compared to PlayStation 5.
Michael Pachter said:
I'd say if you want to play new Bethesda games, you'll either have to buy an Xbox or sign up for Game Pass, which is cheaper. Clearly Game Pass works, so if you're playing on PC, you can get Bethesda games this way. But if you're a PlayStation fan, you won't be able to play new Bethesda games.
Regarding the titles in the PlayStation catalog, these should remain in the Sony lineup and be added, later, to Xbox Game Pass: "It is really difficult to know what will happen to the titles in the catalog, theoretically Fallout 3 and 4, Wolfenstein, Wolfenstein Youngblood, DOOM, they're all on PlayStation, so I guess you can still keep buying and playing them. I also believe these video games will be added to Game Pass after the acquisition closes, so they just gave Game Pass even more compelling value, as you can play everything Bethesda has made for just $ 15 a month. So I believe that subscriptions to subscriptions will increase ».
