Yakuza, signed video game series Sega and focused on the lifestyle of the members of the homonymous organization, it will become a live-action film: according to reports that have only recently appeared on the web, according to which the story of Kazuma Kiryu could soon hit the screens!
According to what is reported on the web, to sign the film will be a union of forces between the company behind the franchise, 1212 Entertainment e Wild Sheep Content. As for the production, however, there will be the signatures of Erik Barmack, Roberto Grande and Joshua Long, although the live-action team would still be looking for writers.
To comment on the announcement regarding the future arrival of a film based on the events narrated by the series Sega Yakuza was just 1212 Entertainment. The latter has in fact, in an interview, affirmed how the video game saga was able to provide a completely new environment, enriched by compelling stories and extremely complex protagonists.
In addition, according to the company, the saga focused on the adventures of Kazuma Kiryu it would already have a cinematic charm built into it, especially given the presence in the title of comedy elements, more converging plots and a compelling journey towards redemption.
Equally enthusiastic about the idea of leading to the birth of a live-action film on the franchise is producer Barmack, according to whom the team's experience in broadcasting global stories such as those narrated within the videogame series would be perfect for creating a exceptional content and to take to global platforms.
At the moment, unfortunately, the different companies currently working on the film focused on Yakuza they did not want to release further comments, especially regarding the possible period foreseen for its release.
