A hiring boost to support their titles
Activision has big plans in mind to expand its staff by hiring many developers to support its major franchises.
Activision Blizzard recently revealed its earnings reports for Q1 of fiscal 2021. The publisher earned $ 2.28 billion, surpassing the forecast of $ 2.02 billion. As part of the earnings announcement process, Activision has also introduced its own plans for the future. The company plans to expand enormously by hiring ben 2000 new developers over the next two years. Activision is doing this to flesh out the bigger teams later this year. Clearly the teams dealing with the Call of Duty franchise will be the first to be scaled up. Considering the exponential growth of Call of Duty players over the years this is not an unexpected move. Shooter earnings increased by 72% thanks to Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, and Call of Duty: Mobile. It is therefore likely that Activision wants to follow the same process for its other franchises. We'll see!
