A few weeks after the official release of Assassin's Creed Valhalla (officially in gold), Ubisoft surprised us with the news that the mangaka Makoto Yukimura will collaborate on a short promotional story in which Thorfinn, the protagonist of his work Vinland Saga, will meet Eivor - the pivotal killer of the new Viking title.
Il Crossovers was unveiled on the official Ubisoft Japan Twitter along with a short video that sees Thorfinn being taken by surprise by Eivor, designed for the occasion by Yukimura himself with his characteristic trait.
Yukimura, former author of Planetes, has been working for years on Vinland Saga, a manga set in the XNUMXth century starring Thorfinn, a boy who grew up with a desire for revenge against Askeladd guilty of killing his father, Thors.
Thorfinn will then join Askeladd's team with the intention of killing him in a duel and honoring his father's memory. The manga, now at 23 volumes, has also inspired an anime that can be seen on Amazon Prime Video.
The crossover story is already available on the official Assassin's Creed Valhalla website and will be localized in nine languages besides English. While waiting for a second part, here is the original in Japanese.
