How to actually start the RAID (raids), what to do once you start and how to complete one, are topics that once you enter the heart of the gameplay of Assassin's Creed Valhalla will catalyze your attention, and this guide will accompany you in the first steps.
A raid is exactly what its original name gives it: a violent raid with contextual pillage of a camp, city, village or fort. You can raid any enemy camp that faces the water. While on your boat, first make your way to the place where you have decided to break in.
As you approach, you should spot a yellow circle materializing in front of the raid spot. Make sure your raft is facing that circle and then, when the on screen feature is activated, press Triangle / Y to start the raid.
Once the raid has begun your crew will charge head down and attack the enemies, all you have to do is follow (and set) the example. There are basically two things you can do during a raid: kill enemies with your crew or seek out riches while the crew keeps the enemies busy. Wealth, indicated by a yellow icon that looks like a barrel, can be a chest or loot storage hidden inside the camp. There are usually plenty to find and no raid will ever be complete until you have collected all the treasures.
If you are looking to finish the raid quickly, then look for all the riches. Alternatively, you can help your crew take out enemies as you search around which results in more loot to be found as you'll also be able to loot bodies.
Regardless of what you choose to do anyway, use Odin's sight often to find enemies and riches on the field, obviously using the compass and map of Assassin's Creed Valhalla for a complete guide to possible raids. Of course the enemy camps also contain supplies and raw materials which you will need to create new buildings at your Ravensthorpe settlement.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla has 19 stations in which to raid: you can proceed as described in this guide in any order, after having done the first raid related to history in England. However, most are located in high-level areas and are best kept for later, as everything can also be done free-roaming after the main campaign.
