DICE has revealed the release period and the first official details on Battlefield 6 and on the news of Battlefield Mobile.
After several rumors DICE breaks the silence and clears up any doubts by announcing that it is working on the new Battlefield chapter with a novelty: a new title coming out this fall on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and a second game planned for smartphones arriving in 2022.
Looking forward to find out if there will be a reveal of the title for the month of May, the first official details on the new chapter are released, currently in development at DICE, DICE LA and Criterion Games. To reveal them is the general manager Oskar Gabrielson.
In the words of Oskar Gabrielson, we will receive a lot of details on the title over the next few months and that they are organizing some elements for the reveal of what will be a next-gen chapter, implicitly confirming that Battlefield 6 will only arrive on new generations and PCs.
At the moment, the development team is in the daily playtest phase of the modalities, refining and balancing the title with the aim of producing the best chapter of the saga, capable, according to Gabrielson's words, of renewing the saga. In this new chapter we can expect: huge maps, military warfare, crazy and unexpected sequences, destruction that can change things, large-scale battles with more players and chaos than ever before, all made possible by the potential of next-gen hardware.
In addition to this, a welcome change is that concerning the version of Battlefield is coming to smartphones and tablets. Industrial Toys will take care of the development, while remaining in close contact with DICE to create a new chapter, built from the ground up with the focus on giving players a Battlefield experience in portability. Gabrielson confirms that over the course of the year there will be a limited access test phase, renewing the anxious wait to reveal new details on the next chapter of the saga.
