Borderlands 3 has just completed its series of add-on content included in the Season Pass, with four new content-packed adventures, but the developers seem not to want to stop there. After the official confirmation by Gearbox Software that this chapter of the series will receive a free upgrade since the launch of the new consoles (making it one of the launch titles of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X), today comes the official news that the additional content will continue for the year ahead with a second Season Pass. This will be available from November 10th and will be divided into two parts: the Designer's Cut and the Director's Cut, which will add new contents and cosmetic items.
The first will be available starting from 10 November and will introduce, according to the developers, a "completely new way to play". In fact, a new game mode called "Arms Race" will be added, and new skill trees for the four Crypt Hunters (one each) with new passive and active skills. Of these, the only one to be shown in full is that of Fl4k, with a new robotic companion called ION Loader, while for the others we currently only know what their definitive abilities will be. We have in fact a shoulder cannon for Zane, a small version of Moze's battle robot that will act autonomously, and finally a cryogenic sphere that Amara can launch; everything will then be deepened in the course of the following dates on the official Twitch channel of Borderlands 3:
- 20 October at 18: 00 - Amara and FL4K skill trees revealed and a special episode of Ultimate Vault Hunters;
- 22 October at 18: 00 - Revelation of Moze and Zane's skill trees and special episode of Ultimate Vault Hunters;
- 29 October at 18: 00 - The upcoming Borderlands show introducing Arms Race mode and more;
- 30 October at 18: 00 - First live preview of Arms Race mode during Bordercast.
The Director's Cut will instead be available from spring next year, but there is currently no news on its content. This is therefore an important news for all those who have appreciated this Borderlands 3 and who have had the opportunity to explore it entirely thanks to the first Season Pass. All this especially considering, not only the possibility of playing it in an improved version on the next generation consoles, but also the free support from the developers through the various events introduced. (as for the latest Bloody Harvest).
