With the expiry of the various embargoes on the new generation consoles, more and more details are being discovered on what will be the now imminent face of the two new "queens" of the videogame market. Xbox Series X / S on the one hand and PlayStation 5 on the other and we want to talk about the latter, in particular about one of its "main" functions: the Game Boost.
The way in which the new console automatically improves the "old" titles, ie those belonging to the PlayStation 4 generation "without" upgrade dedicated, however, would seem unable to work miracles. According to what was revealed on the pages of Gamerant by Lance McDonald, in fact, some games fail to exploit the peculiarities of this function, such as Bloodborne, one of the titles tested personally by Lance. Well, From Software's masterpiece fails to go beyond 30 fps even on Sony's new flagship, thus revealing a sort of "defect" in the programming that prevents him from going beyond a ceiling that, with the new generations, should always (or almost) be easily overcome.
This, for example, has not happened with other titles of From's stable, such as Sekiro or Dark Souls III, but let's talk about newer products anyway.
In short, well but not very well. But we, let's face it, at Bloodborne forgive everything. Or not?
