As is now well known, the reputation of Cyberpunk 2077 oscillates between the stellar enthusiasm of PC gamers to the total frustration of last-gen console users: so let's make a update on promised refunds to the latter by CD Projekt RED. As we have told you in the last few days, in fact, the title has been removed from the PlayStation Store and the procedures for the refund of digital copies PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. And who has a physical copy taken from one of the many retailers, perhaps at the dayone?
Cyberpunk 2077: update on refunds of physical copies
Already last 14th December the management of CDPR, overwhelmed by the criticism of the malfunctions of the basic console versions of the game, had sensationally exposed themselves with a letter of apology to the users, promising to reimburse those who requested it. A few days later, Sony and Microsoft have therefore perfected the refunding mechanisms for buyers of digital copies. However, little has been said about how the owners of physical copies could have asked for a possible refund.

The apology letter contained an email address ([email protected]) to contact in case of difficulties with the various retailers. Difficulties that were readily revealed. For example, in some GameStop stores the issue is cleared with a laconic "You have to ask the national customer service". After receiving this kind of response too, we then sent the expected email to CD Projekt (it must be done by 21 December, eye! - ed), and the answer was the one pictured above.
