After defeating Ornstein and Smaugh and taking possession of the Vessel of Lords, in Dark Souls it's time to take on four new enemies. THE Four Lords they can be tackled in the order you prefer, and we will now talk to you about Nito, the Tomb King. The boss is located in the Tomb of the Giants and is the reference NPC if you are Servants of the Tomb King (or want to become one). If you are interested in joining the covenant, don't kill him before you have done so: killing the boss will not get you out of the covenant if you are already a member, but it will prevent you from joining it if you are not.
Strategy and useful advice
Before you begin, know that the boss causes toxicity, so be prepared to live with this nuisance. We advise you, first of all, to bring with you a divine weapon, with which to kill the skeletons, and possibly a fiery one, since Nito is weak to fire. Be careful not to have any "light sources" active (such as the "Light" spell or the "Sunworm" helmet), as this will cause the boss to repeat the "Tomb King's Dancing Sword" attack. which will lead to your demise quite quickly. Also, be as light as possible and equip yourself with a decent shield, to use against the skeletons or physical attacks of the boss.
When you land in the arena, heal yourself and stay still, waiting for the skeletons summoned by Nito to come to you: at this point, kill them with the divine weapon. Approach, position yourself behind him and attack him with the fiery weapon, paying attention to the shouts and when he bends: if he shouts he is about to do "Tomb King's Dancing Sword" while if he bends he is about to make the magical explosion (get away immediately !). Try not to go to the back of the arena, but to always stay close to the entrance, drawing Nito towards you: in the back, in fact, there are giant skeletons that will not attack until you enter their field of view. Proceeding like this, the battle should not prove particularly difficult.
Attacks
- Vertical Slash - vertical attack that Nito makes with his sword; it is avoidable by walking sideways;
- Horizontal slash - horizontal attack that the boss always carries out with his sword; it is avoidable simply by being very close to it;
- Necromancy - the boss revives the skeletons for support during the fight; if you kill them, Nito will resurrect them, unless you do it with a divine weapon;
- Dark Blast - Nito folds in on himself and then releases a spherical wave of dark energy; as soon as you see it bend away, move away, as it is a very harmful attack and it causes toxicity;
- Tomb King's Dancing Sword - attack very similar to the miracle obtainable through his pact: Nito thrusts his sword into the ground to summon a blade that reaches under the player's feet; it is not easy to avoid, but it is identifiable by the shout launched by the boss just before executing it; beware that this attack causes toxicity;
- Grapple - Nito takes the player, causing him damage; it can be easily avoided by walking around it.

Nito, the Tomb King, is the guardian of the Tomb of the Giants. Together with Gwyn, he collaborated in the extermination of dragons: while Lord Gwyn, with his army, he destroyed their scales, he unleashed his miasma against them.
It is said that the gigantic figure (made up of human bones) was actually the first man to know the bitter fate of death, only to become its undisputed ruler. The fascinating creature, if met at the right time, will also allow us to join our pact, which, especially at a playful level, has a significant impact on the game world. The genesis of Nito, however, is enveloped in flames: who he was and what kind of powers he had before everything started, we cannot know.
In any case, he remains one of the most fascinating beings in the entire universe created by the guys at FromSoftware and their boss (excuse the joke), Hidetaka Miyazaki-san.
