Next-gen hardware optimized versions of Destiny 2, shooter title landed on PC and console PlayStation 4, Xbox One e Google Stadia during 2017, they will be available starting fromDecember 8 2020, despite the release of the new platforms set at 10 and 12 November.
This was announced by the team of Bungie studios, who also wanted to clarify what all the features of the update will be. The latter will add, completely free, 4K on consoles PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X (1080p on Xbox Series S), 60 FPS framerate and a field of view slider.
As for this detail concerning the field of view, Bungie he wanted to point out a similar addition was the first ever made by the team in this sense, and how it was chosen to achieve a well-defined goal: to enable a range of FOV similar to that on PC.
The free update for next-gen destined for Destiny 2 it will also make the loading times of the game and those necessary for the inspection of the inventory of the characters even faster. As for the timing, the update will not affect those strictly dependent on networking and matchmaking which, therefore, will still require a little patience.
Speaking of the search for opponents, the team behind the title wanted to shed some light, stating that the players of Xbox Series X / S will have the possibility to play only with users Xbox One, as well as those of PlayStation 5 with users PlayStation 4.
Pending the arrival of the update, set for 8 December, all the players of Destiny 2 they will still be able to take advantage of the possibility of playing between different generations, as well as being able to enjoy much faster loading times.
