During the Tokyo Game Show Capcom had the opportunity to show us some of the news related to the new Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition. This is a new version, previously shown during the showcase linked to the PlayStation 5, which technically improves (and also from the point of view of contents) one of the best titles of its kind.. During the first trailer, we had the opportunity to appreciate the possibility of using Vergil, as well as the graphic improvements; today however we discover some additional information from the TGS.
First of all, we have the confirmation that this new version will be able to reach 120 fps (in 4K but without Ray Tracing), and will also take advantage of the haptic feedback capabilities of the new DualSense (as well as the PlayStation 3's 5D audio and fast loading speeds). By activating the Ray Tracing function, however, we will be able to appreciate 60 fps at 1080p or 30 fps in 4K. The high number of frames, alongside such fast gameplay, will also benefit from the so-called "Turbo Mode". It will in fact be possible to play Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition at a speed multiplied by 1.2x (so as to put our reflexes to the test).
Finally, the "The Legendary Dark Knight" mode, which will allow us to face copious hordes of enemies with both Dante and Nero (but probably also with the other two characters). The latest information concerns users already in possession of Devil May Cry 5; in fact we discover that Vergil, and all the content connected to him, will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in the form of purchasable DLC. Although the absence of a free upgrade from the basic version makes you turn your nose up a bit, this new Special Edition can represent an important opportunity for new users, as well as for those who have not yet had the opportunity to try it, to play this wonderful chapter of the series.
