Earthblade is a 2D explor-action title.
OK Games, developer of TowerFall and Celeste, has announced Earthblade. This new title will be a 2D explor-action game set in a pixel art world. It is currently scheduled for release in 20XX, which means that it may take some time to see it. The official poster and logo of Pedro and Medeiros and the music of Lena Raine (who also composed the soundtrack for Celeste) were revealed through a tweet, providing users with a small taste of the atmosphere.

On the studio's official website, founder Maddy Thorson said it will likely take some time before to see new information about the game. According to the claims, it took about four prototypes to reach the game's current design, and Thorson believes it could be launched within five years of Celeste's release.
Thorson notes that the first three prototypes taught the studio a lot. Only in the revision stage did they realize that they were moving away from their main idea. Now the main road is traced, even if a lot can change during construction.
At the moment no platform has been made official for the game, but a PC version seems very likely.
