Epic Games Store: here is the next free game

It's been a few years now that Epic has declared war on Valve by creating its Epic Games Store.

What might have seemed like a store like many others, destined from the outset to be irrelevant to the Steam monopoly, instead it managed to carve out its own more than decent space in the gaming PC market.

The factors of this success, far from obvious, are due to having been able to attract both the community of developers and that of players; the first thanks to revenue of only 12% (against the 20-25% applied by Steam), the second thanks to the provision of a continuous stream of free games made possible by the golden eggs laid regularly by hens called Fortnite and Unreal Engine.

I 15 days of Christmas gifts on the Epic Games Store have just ended; after giving so much and for so many years, do you think Epic will stop in this generous crusade? Certainly not.

On the store it was in fact made known that the weekly release of free games will resume and the next title to be affected will be Crying Suns: strategic rogue-like developed by Humble Games.

So remember to connect to the Epic Games Store from 7 to 14 January. Until then, the last of the 15 Christmas gifts will remain free to redeem: Jurassic World Evolution.

► Crying Suns is a Strategy-Tactical-indie game developed by Alternative Shift and published by Humble Bundle for PC, Mac, Android and iOS, the video game was released on 18/09/2019
