There are millions of fans around the world waiting for news on Final Fantasy VII Remake. The first chapter was released on April 10, 2020 and new information regarding the continuation of the work is missing (apart from confirming the start of motion capture shooting).
However, the situation seems destined to change very soon. Today, co-director Motomu Toriyama posted a video message stating that new information on the adventures of Cloud and associates will be revealed during the Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestra World Tour: the concert of the game's soundtracks that will take place this Saturday.
We can only make some assumptions about the nature of the announcement. In fact, it is not certain that information on chapter 2 will be revealed; last month though, a usually reliable insider claimed that the first episode's PlayStation 5 upgrade would be unveiled this month.
Square's ads are piling up. The new expansion of Final Fantasy XIV will be announced next month, while the PS5 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Life is Strange 3 are expected to be revealed soon.
However, it cannot be ruled out the announcement of the release date of Final Fantasy VII Remake also on Xbox and PC considering that, in just a couple of months, the first anniversary of the release on PlayStation 4 will fall.
In short, Saturday we will be listening both of the wonderful melodies of the master Nobuo Uematsu, and of the expected news on Final Fantasy VII Remake.
