Final Fantasy XIV Online makes its debut in an open beta for PlayStation 5, while patch 5.5 brings us to the end of days.
Square Enix is setting the stage for the next big adventure in Final fantasy XIV Online with the launch of patch 5.5, available today. The update, titled Death Unto Dawn, includes new content that will link directly to the game's highly anticipated fourth expansion, Endwalker, as well as the equally anticipated third installment of YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse.

This is instead a closer look at the PlayStation 5 version of Final Fantasy XIV Online, which announces an open beta starting today. This release will include new features and various additions, including framerate improvements, faster load times, support for 4K resolution, haptic feedback for DualSense, new trophies and support for 3D audio.
Further details have also been revealed on the highly anticipated Digital Fan Festival which will take place on May 15th and 16th. On May 15th there will be a fantastic Endwalker presentation, a discussion with the developers and a piano concert. The events on May 16th will also include exciting content for fans, with Letter from the Producer LIVE and a THE PRIMALS concert.
