Square Enix will launch a site web teaser for Final Fantasy XVI a late October, with detailed information about the world and the characters of the new episode of the saga. It is not one of the many rumors, but producer Naoki Yoshida said in person at the Tokyo Game Show 2020. Among other things, the same game designer also commented on the launch trailer that we propose again, which did not fail to shake up the FF community properly.
I didn't want the trailer to be just a classic introduction movie… to a logo! I wanted to use the gameplay characters, in real time, but the timing [of the production - ed] is not yet the best. We haven't fine-tuned and optimized it yet, so there is a lot of work to be done. On the other hand, if we had released a pre-rendered trailer, fans would have thought, "Okay, see you in 2035!" or something similar. I've seen that kind of comment before, so we really wanted to show something that was actually in-game. We obviously haven't shown the game's highlights in the trailer yet, it will come later when we are able to do it correctly.
Final Fantasy XVI is in development exclusively for PlayStation 5, and a series of new information, in addition to what will be contained in the official teaser website, is expected for 2021. Could it also be the year of the title's publication?
