In our review of Fire Emblem: Three Houses we mentioned how the game has three storylines, one for each house that we can choose in the early stages of the adventure. Actually the stories are four, since by choosing the Black Eagles two different routes will be possible.
The fourth route is not automatically presented to the player, so it is possible to miss it without realizing it. In this guide we show you what to do to undertake it.
It should be noted, however, that what we write will contain gods slight spoilers and will affect Chapter 11 of the game. So if you're still just starting out in Fire Emblem Three Houses you might not want to know a few details of what's going to happen. If not, go ahead.
As mentioned, after the first part "White Cloud" in common set in the Monastery, the storylines will differ depending on the family:
- Blue Moon (Blue Lions)
- Green Wind (Golden Deer)
- Silver Snow (Black Eagles - Monastery)
- Crimson Flower (Black Eagles - Edelgard)
Choosing the Black Eagles and continuing normally without particular attention, the story will continue normally on the Snow D'Argento route. To take the route where you can take the parts of Edelgard you will have to make specific choices.
First of all, make sure you have developed a level with Edelgard support at least to C + since the beginning of the month. During the Chapter 11, in the second month of the year (Pegasus Moon), you will have to dedicate at least one of the available Sundays (8, 15 or 22 of the month) to exploring the Monastery. Go to the Entrance Hall where you will find Edelgard who will ask you to accompany her to the imperial capital Enbarr. The game at this point will explicitly tell you that the story will change depending on your choice. To proceed with the Edelgard Crimson Flower route you will have to choose to accompany it.
This choice will immediately end the exploration of the Monastery, so first use all the available Activity Points. Be careful because if you don't meet Edelgard in this time frame or you will refuse his request you will miss your chance to undertake his route.
At this point the game will proceed to the battle titled "Conflict in the Holy Tomb", at the end of which you will be given the opportunity to make a choice. By choosing the dialogue options “Kill Edelgard” or “…” you will remain in the Silver Snow route of the Monastery and nothing will change. To permanently unlock the Crimson Flower route you will have to choose to protect it.
Here you are, therefore, set out on the Edelgard route that will make the story of Fire Emblem: Three Houses take a different turn from the others.
