Hope to have Halo Infinite at the launch of Xbox Series X / S was rejected. The game was postponed to the fall of this year. Although the developer has made a commitment to launch some high-level updates, the issues have not yet been fully resolved. However, it appears that something behind the scenes at 343 Industries has potentially changed.
Longtime Halo fans probably know the name Joseph / Joe Staten as someone who was at Bungie, creator of a key part of the franchise's writing and narrative. He entered Halo Infinite as Project Lead after the big delay last year. It looks like he moved into the studio since his LinkedIn now lists him as the Head of Creative for the entire 343 Industries. That position is generally referred to as someone who will oversee all creative processes and long-term strategy. Obviously, all studies are different, so the position might be different in 343. At the moment we cannot say for sure what this change of role in the grand scheme means.
