If we talk about the far west, one of the first things that anyone would think of are the shootings, iconic in every work that reflects that historical period. Just as they are iconic also in Red Dead Redemption 2 and made even more spectacular thanks to the Deadeye.
For the uninitiated, it is a skill very similar to that present in the Max Payne series, or a slowdown of time that allows you to be much more precise and take out as many enemies as possible without taking too many risks.
As seen in its predecessor, even in this title it will be possible to use some small tricks to take full advantage of it and be lethal on every occasion.
First of all, aim
To use the Deadeye, simply press the RS / R3 button while aiming, select your targets with RB / R1 and shoot with RT / R2. Hitting enemies in their weak points will allow you to inflict a considerable amount of damage, so pay close attention to it in order to take advantage of the ability to the full. You will also be practically immortal during this phase, which adds value to the whole and could make this guide even more interesting. Pressing RS / R3 again will cause normal time to resume.
Obviously, before you can use the skill again you will have to wait for it to recharge over time; if you don't want to wait or if you need it you can however use the Tonics, the Chewing Tobacco or any other object that increases the focus. You can also use Butterfly Weed or simply shoot opponents normally in combat.
Remember that the use of the Deadeye is not exclusive of weapons from outside, but you can also use it with throwing objects.
Increase the time limit
You will have several ways to increase the maximum duration of the Deadeye in Red Dead Redemption 2, primarily by leveling up. This might be the fastest method if you also focus on the different side quests scattered around the game; maximizing your skill level will be a breeze.
It will also be possible to permanently increase it by crafting particular items at the Trapper or by buying a Trinket, as long as you have a nice nest egg to be able to afford it.
Last, and this time also for importance, the use of cheats. If you are so lazy that you do not want to implement any of the previous strategies, know that there are two different codes that will allow you to instantly maximize the Deadeye. However, note that using cheats will not allow you to acquire any trophies. Use them at your own risk.
- Set Dead Eye Level (3) - I shall be better: allows you to raise your Deadeye level to 3.
- Set Dead Eye Level (5) - I seek and I find: allows you to raise your Deadeye level to 5.
