Knowing how to make the most of the Felyne's potential in Monster Hunter World is really important, but not everything is based on its level and equipment. The Felyne gadgets are probably its most useful feature, starting with the Vigorvespa, the default one, up to the Mialotov bomb, the last to be obtained. In this guide we will explain how to get all the Felyne Gadgets in Monster Hunter World.
Most of these searches, especially the last one, require the High Rank, otherwise it will not be possible to activate the event related to the Gadget.
Vigorvespa
What does he do: Bring a Vigorvespa to the hunter to heal him. Once you reach the maximum level you can place the Vigorvespa Station, an indispensable source of healing that the Felyne will leave on the ground ready and available to the hunter to heal.
How to get it: The vigorvespa is the only Gadget that you will have by default since the beginning of the game.
Cage insect dazzle
What does he do: The felyne is able to blind the enemy with a tool of the same efficiency as the lightning pods. At the maximum level of the Gadget, the Felyne can stun large monsters while trapping them for a short time in a shaken trap.
How to get it: This Gadget is found in the Ancient Forest and is the easiest to obtain. Choose camp 17 and point with R3 the icon of the Grimalkyne (although in motion, the Grimalkyne will tend to be seen not far from the aforementioned camp). Once reached, the stray will start running away. Give it a little ground and then start following it until you reach it in its lair (you will also have to imitate a little Tarzan between vines and vines). Interact with Grimalkyne to get the Blind Bug Cage and let your Felyne learn the language of the Jagras, who can become the hunter's allied prey hunter.
Cusp Shield
What does he do: The Felyne carries a huge shield that attracts the attention of monsters. Additionally, the Spire Shield greatly increases its defense, making it a good long-term lure.
How to get it: You will need to head to the Savage Spiers selecting camp 15. From there, head a little north using the vines near the item crate. You'll notice the Grimalkyne icon and that's where you need to go to interact with one of them. He will tell you that you need to capture 3 of his friends, so equip the Capture Net and open the map. You will notice new icons similar to those of the Grimalkyne, aim them with R3 to set the guide insects in search of the three cats and head towards them. Our advice is to equip the camouflage cloak or swoop in behind them when they can't see you, use the capture net and that's it. Return the 3 Grimalkynes to the camp and talk to their leader to receive the Cusp Shield. Finally, the Grimalkyne will teach your felyne the language of the Kestodons, allowing him to recruit him as a prey hunter!
Coral Horn
What does he do: The Felyne will play this instrument, or beat on a tambourine in order to buff the hunter in different ways: attack, defense, stun resistance, affinity and more!
How to get it: The Coral Highlands are your next stop! Choose camp 12 and head to a quarry located in area 10 of the map. You will be attacked by 3 Grimalkyne on the back of Shamos. Defeat them and you will be invited by their chieftain to the secret area. To reach it you will have to continue to the quarry and use vines to enter the secret area (The Grimalkyne icon on the map will once again be your guide). Speaking with the boss you will be assigned a low-ranking mission in which you have to defeat 2 Tzi-zi Ya Ku. Complete it and you will be automatically returned to the secret area where your Felyne will learn the Shamos language and receive the Coral Horn.
Raiding Blade
What does he do: The Felyne is able to steal items from monsters while attacking them with the Blade in question.
Note: Have at least one unit of Fresh meat.
How to get it: Head to the Putrefatta Valley choosing camp 11. You will find a researcher in area 13, talk to him and he will give you some information about the Odogaron. Now comes the part that might waste some time, as you will have to wait for a Odogaron shows up as he drags the corpse of a Legiana with him holding it by the mouth. You will find that you have continued in this step when your Felyne himself tells you about it, making you notice a Grimalkyne on the run. Follow it, reaching zone 15 of the Putrefatta Valley (where you can also find the Petricante of the “Living Fossil“ trophy) and you will notice that the pet will flee to an area not reachable by you. It comes finally time to use Fresh Meat cited above: place it on the ground and move away so that the Grimalkyne doesn't get scared of you trying to get the Flesh. Wait for him to call his companions and then join them after they have finished eating. You will receive the Raiding Blade and your Felyne will learn to communicate with the Girros!
Mialotov bomb
What does he do: The Felyne throws explosive bombs. In addition to massive base damage, the monster will suffer constant burn damage for a limited time.
Note: Keep the Camouflage Cloak.
How to get it: Your "only" requirement for obtaining this devastating Gadget is thehaving obtained all those listed so far. In Astera, speak to the senior biologist near the mountain of books for a critical request. You will need to find 10 scribbles left by the Gajalakas among the various maps of Monster Hunter World, an undertaking that is not at all easy but not impossible if you play cunning. Aside from the Crystal Rift, you can find these scribbles everywhere, but the quickest way to locate them is to head to the points on the map where you can run into opponent Gajalaka or a Lynian researcher. In the surroundings you will surely find one or two Gajalaka scribbles and with a little patience you will find them all.
Once you have examined 10 scribbles, return to Astera and finalize the request at the coordination center. Go to the elder biologist again and he will reveal to you that the Gajalakas gather together with their elder at night and begin to dance. We have finally reached the final stage: go to the Land of Crystals, strictly in the evening and choose camp 8. Head to the green dot on the map not far from there. Talk to the NPC and you will discover that you have to sneak into the base camp of the Gajalaka, located exactly behind him, but without being discovered by them. When they dance, sneak up behind them and make sure you are covered with the Camouflage Cloak to avoid problems. Continue the path without being seen up to a bonfire with a small cove behind it. Slip in and you will finally meet the Gajalaka elder, who will give you the Mialotov Bomb and ensure that the Gajalakas will be your allies.
