As you progress through the game they will be very frequent terminals that will require a specific PIN and it will often happen to get stuck without being able to continue. At first the puzzles will be simple, but later unlocking them will become more and more complicated, so don't worry about having to resort to help, because it is completely normal.
Next to the money laundering office of the Kaneshiro palace you will find an underground vault filled with terminals that can only be unlocked with PINs, and you can solve the puzzle only thanks to torn pages of Kaneshiro's notebook that you will find in the "piggy banks".
