The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild allows you to have all the ingredients you want in your inventory, but when it comes to weapons, bows, arrows and shields, you will soon need to increase the space available in the inventory. The only way to have more space in Link's bags is to collect rare Korogu seeds, small nuts to use to get new inventory slots. In this guide we will explain how to face the quest necessary to unlock these seeds in the game world.
In the first part of the game, on the way to the Kakariko Bridge, you will encounter Castonne the Korugu. The bizarre character will tell you that his precious maracas have been stolen and will ask you to recover them. Just follow the road and look for the recess on the right to find the thieves: defeat them and open the chest to find the maracas and bring them back to Castonne. At this point, however, you will have to find some Korogu seeds to make the maracas rattle.
To get them you will need to find sprites around the map. You will find the first a little further on, in the bottleneck by solving a small environmental puzzle. In the face of the rock you will find cubes of 4 blocks embedded. Except in one where the fourth block is lying on the ground, move it with your magnetic skills to put it back in place. A sprite will appear and give you the seed. Bring it to Castonne who in exchange will allow you to choose whether to have an extra slot to equip weapons, bow or arrows.
Castonne is able to further increase the space in your inventory, but for more slots he will ask you for more Korogu seeds. In detail, for each type of inventory (bow, weapon, arrows) with one seed you will unlock another slot, with two seeds the next, with three the one after and so on.
After the first meeting, however, you will find Castonne in the heart of the forest of Hyrule so after a few hours of play compared to the first meeting. In the meantime, you'll be busy finding Korogu all over Hyrule: you'll find them in trees, under stones, in the water and in the air, flying as if they were dragonflies. We advise you to investigate whenever you think you see a stone or a tree out of place in the scenario, because it could be a good opportunity to collect a very useful Korogu seed.
