Metro Exodus, the new chapter of the videogame saga inspired by the novels of Dmitry Gluchovsky, finally takes us out of the claustrophobic tunnels of the Moscow underground, allowing us to explore the wonderful, but disturbing and very dangerous, lands of post-nuclear Russia. In these new environments we will have to pay a lot of attention to the mutants and other monstrous creatures that populate them.
Some encounters can be easily solved with a firefight or with a dignified retreat, while for others we will have to work hard and act cunning, exploiting the environment and the resources at our disposal as, in fact, we will have to do to face the monstrous Tsar Fish.
Tsar Fish is a giant fish that inhabits the slimy streams in the Volga region. Most likely this monstrous creature is none other than a large catfish or a sturgeon, mutated by radiation and nuclear fallout and become the supreme predator of the area, as well as being worshiped by the followers of Silantius as a semi god.
As much as you can open fire on the Tsar Fish, your weapons will never be able to penetrate the thick scales of the beast, making it both furious and truly unmanageable. To get the best of this monstrosity (and get the "fisherman" trophy) we will therefore have to set a trap for it.
First we will have to go to his lair, which is the flooded terminal in the easternmost part of the map. Once at the terminal we will have to reach the small control room located near the main entrance. From the control room head to the water, where you will find two levers on the left, three ropes holding corpses in the center and another rope on the right.
First we will have to pull the first rope on the right, which will ring a bell, thus attracting the fish, which will immediately rush and try, luckily in vain, to destroy the entire control room.
Once the monster is close, we will then have to cut one of the ropes that hold up the rotting bodies. The corpse will fall into the water below and attract the attention of our prey, which will immediately begin to devour it. At this point, it will be sufficient to pull the levers on the left to make the debris collapse on the Tsar Fish, killing him and thus allowing us to earn the “Fisherman” trophy.
We recommend that you manually save the game before attempting the ambush, because if you fail to kill the monster on the first try, it will no longer be possible to do so later.
