It's been nearly two years since the project Metroid Prime 4 passed into the hands of Retro Studios. It was January 25, 2019, in fact, when Nintendo apologized to the public, revealing that it had made a clean sweep of what was done up to that moment. Since then, the Texan studio has begun to expand the staff, but the latest job announcements have aroused some concern among fans of Samus Aran.

A message has appeared on the official account of the Texan team through which the hunt is opened for a new boss / AI designer who can contribute to the development of the game. To tell the truth, going to the dedicated website you will discover that there are a total of six open positions:
- Senior Level Designer
- Lead Animator
- Boss / AI Designer
- Level 4 - Lighting Artist
- Lead Lighting Artist
- Concept artist
It is precisely the presence of multiple announcements that arouses the apprehension of players, considering that Metroid Prime 4 should be in development for over a year. On the other hand, however, it is not known whether or how much material has reached Retro Studios from the works carried out from 2017 to 2019, and that therefore the latter have had to go through a new phase of pre-production.
Speaking of hires, let's remember that a former Santa Monica Studio game designer and a DOOM veteran now join the ranks of Retro Studios. We look forward to news on Metroid Prime 4, presented as a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
