Presenting it as a short movie dedicated to the progress of hunting through a "Great Sword" and in the company of two Palamutes, Capcom has released a new video dedicated to Monster Hunter Rise showing 6 minutes of gameplay:
The target of this hunt is the peculiar Aknosom wyvern bird located in the Sanctuary Ruins, this enemy is presented as difficult but can be faced thanks to the "new tricks up his sleeve" of the Great Sword.
Monster Hunter Rise was announced last September during a Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase and had been amply shown through a demo during TGS 2020 (our preview here). This is the first project for the franchise developed through the use of the RE Engine, making its debut on the Nintendo Switch, Capcom's proprietary graphics engine in use since Resident Evil 7 onwards.
Monster Hunter Rise will be released on March 26, 2021 exclusively for Nintendo Switch and is the first title in the franchise dedicated to the hybrid from Nintendo.
