The US company, however, remains firm on the path it has now undertaken with Uncharted e The Last of Us, wanting to proceed with full sails in this direction. This is exactly what the co-president of Naughty Dog spoke about, Evan Wells, in an episode of Game Maker's Notebook, saying the following:
We've had a couple of Twitter campaigns where people tweeted us every single day saying "I want a new Jak and Daxter, I want a new Jak and Daxter." They weren't just 280-character tweets, but also Photoshop-retouched memes and everything included on a daily basis, the effort must be significant. I hate to tell him, but we don't have Jak and Daxter here in development right now. But we still love the characters and I see what you are doing with Ratchet and that makes me wish we did, and we would have one in development because there is still a lot of love for Jak and Daxter in the studio.
If years ago the development house Naughty Dog was known for titles in a certain sense more suitable for a younger target, by now the management of the company seems to have firmly addressed a much more adult audience, touching on strong and raw themes. The fact remains that the desire of the developers is to be able to resume certain more childish titles, unfortunately, however, it has been officially confirmed that currently the studio has no projects of this type in the pipeline, so officially denied the rumor that a new chapter for Jak and Daxter was being developed, which you can read about in our article.
