On 11 June, at 17.00 pm, live on the Instagram channel of the School of Design, Rod White, Chief Design Officer of TP Vision, together with Laura Traldi, journalist and founder of DesignAtLarge, will enter the heart of the philosophy that guides Philips TV design & Sound and which led the brand to develop successful product lines, able to combine the most innovative technological performances with a usability suited to simplicity and immediacy. European design, together with excellent manufacturing, is one of the pillars of Philips TV & Sound, also recognized by prestigious international awards such as Red Dot Awards and iF Awards. A design that reveals a special attention to the premium quality of materials, such as metals, bespoke fabrics and the finest leather and to a totally engaging and satisfying experience of using technology. A distinctive and quality design that was born and developed in Amsterdam, in the company's headquarters, where Rod White is responsible for the Creative Direction, the Design Strategy, managing a team of about 20 designers.
The meeting aims to explore what are the skills and sensitivities necessary and at the basis of the design of products which, in addition to being an expression of the most advanced technology, are at the same time objects of furniture. It will also be an opportunity to reflect on possible new domestic scenarios and on the audio and video experiences of the future: areas that Istituto Marangoni encourages to investigate even within the proposed study courses and which find concrete evidence in this awaited international talk. .
Rod White illustrates the four principles behind Philips TV & European Design Philosophy Sound in a video available here.
