Il 2020 It has not been an extraordinary year, we know this for sure, and it is difficult not to get a little carried away by it discomfort, however, we must acknowledge it: even in the midst of a global pandemic, Sony and Microsoft have managed to bring out beautiful next-gen consoles and the TEAM, together with us, hands them a bow.
The magazine has indeed released a list of best inventions of 2020 and both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S peep out. For the first, the applause goes toSSD Sony's custom and to the extraordinary technology present in the Dualsense:
At around 30cm tall and 4kg in weight, PlayStation 5 is among the largest consoles ever made. Games load immediately, the graphics processor works 10 times faster than the previous generation and the new controller brings a new dimension to gaming thanks to haptic sensors.
Obviously Microsoft and its new gen are not left behind, at least not entirely:
The secret weapon of Xbox Series S is definitely the Game Pass, a subscription system on which many titles will appear on day-one, games that will be even more beautiful to watch, given that Series S is able to reach high resolutions and up to 120 fps, a 100% improvement over the previous generation. Given the absence of a physical player, then, the console remains very quiet and allows us to focus only on the action.
The interesting thing and, on our part, a bit unfair, is the absence of Xbox Series X from the list, perhaps a choice motivated by the desire not to dedicate 2 places in the ranking to Microsoft.
It's their list, after all, it's right that they dictate the rules, right?
