PlayStation 5: dashboard and user interface

PlayStation 5: dashboard and user interface

After many leaks regarding the new PlayStation 5 user interface, Sony has finally decided to show it to the public through a video on the official channels. So let's find out what's new in the dashboard!

What most characterized the user experience on PlayStation 4 was the slowness and the intricacy of the menus and dashboard, almost never able to give the player what he needed in a short time. Sony has decided to focus on this with this new interface: the new Control Center, in fact, will give immediate access to almost all system options with the press of a single button, without leaving the running game.

The other big news lies in the Activities, we will find summary screens to call up via the Control Center to access all the "game opportunities" offered by the individual nextgen titles of the new Sony console family; for example, in case of need and only for games that support the functionality, it will be possible to find the official guides of the title we are playing that will help us carry out a certain in-game action.

Subsequently PS5 Home Page was shown, in which you immediately notice the smaller space occupied by the icons of the games which will be occupied by screens, always themed with the title, certainly more beautiful to see, and by all the activities that will be possible to carry out in that particular game. Furthermore the PlayStation Store will no longer be a separate app, but will be fully integrated with the interface, and will be much faster.
