With more and more games confirmed as cross-gen, as is normal at the beginning of the generation, Resident Evil Village stands out as, for now, confirmed only for Playstation 5 and next gen Microsoft (and PC) .However, not everything seems to be going well in the right direction in this project. The Playstation 5 version of Resident Evil Village appears to be having problems in development. The news comes from a well-known insider, Dusk Golem, who already participated in the Village leak months before the official announcement.
There are no specifics on what in particular is causing problems, however it seems that the situation is so serious as to induce Capcom to consider heavy downgrades. There is even talk of a possible cross-gen version, despite Capcom having discarded the idea initially to focus better on shadows and shaders. According to Dusk Golem, Capcom is even handing out questionnaires to testers, asking if, in their opinion, it would be worth aiming for the cross-gen release. In short, not great news for this already shaky inauguration of Playstation 5.
