RIDE 4 has finally arrived on PC and console, bringing with it adrenaline, fun but also an uncommon level of difficulty for the titles of the sector. Being able to stop good times and win the race events is essential not only to obtain the necessary license to continue the journey in Career mode, but also and above all to aspire to the different bonus models that are up for grabs from time to time. If you are satisfied with passing the various tests, the task that presents itself to you it's not that hard, but the matter is different if you also want to get the bonus motorcycle model offered by the game: in that case, you must have obtained all golds, which is the maximum score required. Let's see how to do it through some advice.
Know the route well
It would seem an obvious and fundamental operation, but still too many people do not dedicate the necessary time to understanding the route. It is not necessary to think only of arriving first at the finish line, it is necessary to travel every single curve at the maximum possible speedotherwise it will be impossible to stop the clock on an interesting time. Normally each track alternates fast sections with slower ones, but be careful: slower doesn't mean easier. If in the fast sections it is necessary to let the bike flow and have a good top speed, in the slow sections it is necessary to be precise and quick to raise the bike in order to accelerate as soon as possible. All these things, combined with the tuning of the bike, are absolutely essential to be able to make the time. Study sector by sector, put everything together and that's it.
Know the bike well
This advice applies to both driving licenses and events: during license tests, the bike is assigned automatically, while events generally have class, displacement or type of bike restrictions. It is therefore essential that in Ride 4 you are able to understand the various types of motorcycles that you find yourself using. A 600 sports car doesn't drive like a top-class sports car, while a two-stroke motorcycle doesn't drive like a four-stroke. Understanding the bike and understanding how to ride it is just as important as knowing the track.
Don't abuse the tuning
While working on tuning is obviously doable, it needs to be done be very careful not to abuse it, because otherwise you risk losing your way quickly. Before going to act on the adjustments of the bike, make sure you understand the circuit and master the vehicle well, both in terms of reactions and peculiarities. If the times do not satisfy you, before saying that the bike does not work, try to understand if you are driving the right way. One or two tenths per turn they can be recovered with tuning (as long as it is done correctly), but if the gap is of the order of a second or more, the problem is to be found in the guide.
Beware of tussle
The new AI algorithm featured on Ride 4 greatly increases the realism of opponents, however in the start in the middle of the group life is definitely complicated. Trying to quickly gain the lead by avoiding group duels is one of the keys to winning events. The opponents are in fact aggressive, if they see even the slightest gap they slip in and, many times, you risk ending the race in the gravel. Being clean and effective in driving is the first ingredient to be able to shelter from often tragic duels for the final outcome.
Don't lose heart
If it is true that in Ride 4 getting bronzes in driving licenses and good placements in races is quite simple, the situation is different when it comes to aim for silver and gold. The important thing is not to be discouraged and not to be in a hurry, some tests will take a few hours to complete with gold, some circuits are more difficult and technical than others and some bikes are more difficult than others to ride. All you have to do is try many times until you have fully assimilated both the track and the bike. At that point the "tempone" will be a natural consequence. Seeing is believing.
