During the annual Samsung Developers Conference, the company has unveiled two new Windows laptops: the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion. Flex is a convertible laptop with a 360 degree hinge that turns it into a tablet, while it is Ion has a traditional clamshell design.
Both laptops are pretty powerful, with Intel's latest processors tenth generation, support Wi-Fi 6, QLED display, up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal solid state memory. They both have elegant designs and a color palette Royal Blue.
Both laptops are very thin and light, with the Samsung Galaxy Book Ion starting from just over 2,1 chili.
Il Galaxy Book Flex, however, it is the most interesting of the couple. Along with the almost completely blue keyboard and chassis, the device comes with a Integrated Bluetooth S Pen, the same one you might find in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 smartphone. This means that you can use the gesture controls on the S Pen to conduct a PowerPoint presentation, for example.
Since Flex can convert to a tablet-like interface, the S Pen will be useful for people who like to create digital art on their laptops. Unfortunately, the display resolution of all laptops reaches its maximum in Full HD +, or 1.920 x 1.080. A 4K model would have been a big step forward, but it doesn't appear that the company is willing to please consumers about it.
Il Samsung Galaxy Book Ion It does not come with S Pen but is designed for professionals. It is ultra-thin with suns 12,9 mm thick (for the entry-level model) but still offers high performance.
Both laptops also feature a fingerprint sensor built into the keyboard.
The Samsung Galaxy Book Ion and the Galaxy Book Flex will both be available in 13,3-inch and 15,6-inch models. Samsung did not disclose pricing for either device, but said they would be available in select markets by December of this year.
