One of the most abundant in the game world and therefore the most basic for creating upgrades. Here's where to find it:

- inside the upper tower of the Ashina castle, in a side room with two men sitting on the floor
Black Gunpowder
It is often found near enemies using firearms or incendiaries.
- the first time you will find them just beforeChained Ogre, dropped by an enemy armed with a huge cannon
- in the square square with the giant with the bell, just before the altar at the entrance to the abandoned dungeon
- just beyond the altar of this area
- in two crates guarded by the Giraffe in the area of Mount Kongo
- to the right of the main temple altar, at the end of Mount Kongo area
Yellow gunpowder
It's a very rare resource, so far we've only seen it drop after defeating the Giraffe.
Magnetite
- Kill the giant with the bell guarding the entrance to the abandoned dungeon
- after the Armored Guard miniboss
- immediately after the fight with the Giraffe you will find yourself in front of a giant with a shield, kill it
- Defeat the Elite Ashina in her dojo on the upper tower of the castle
- kill the swordsman in the sewers you woke up in at the beginning of the game
Wax Lump
Also very rare, it seems to be found mainly in the area of Mount Kongo.
- the first lump can be found behind the statue in the room full of monks, protected by a big man with a hammer
- further on, after the Giraffa, take the road on the left up to a courtyard full of enemies; in the temple behind them you will find more wax
- at the end of the area, in the main entrance hall of the temple, look behind the large statue behind the monk who will give you the Haunted Chapter
