In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice it is possible to find the scales of the Treasure Carp. These can be exchanged with two merchants in exchange for their precious items. In the latest FromSoftware and Activision title it is possible to find Haruganasi at the Hirata Estate, on the island opposite the main building, while Koremori will be in the last area before the final boss. In this guide we will explain how to find the scales, making Sekiro an expert fisherman. They are generally found along bodies of water and rivers and will be very fast. You have to act quickly and firmly to peck them.
To kill them you must first acquire the skill that will allow you to dive underwater. Once this is done, just throw yourself on them and let them taste the katana. Here is the list of locations distributed throughout the Sekiro game world:
Hirata estate
There are 4 carp, all in the lake in front of the estate. The first is right in front of the main building, next to a boat. The second is located before the Bamboo Forest: jump into the river, in the grips of the bridge near the Hunter. The third is instead located in the Bamboo Forest: from the idol go to the hill and climb the branch on the left. Dive into the water until you get under the bridge to find the carp.
Ashina Castle
Both of the two available carp are found in the castle moat, one right on the bottom.
Mount Kongo
There will be two more carp in the pond with wolves nearby, near the third idol of Mt.
Abyss of Ashina
At the Mibu Village you will find a tent inhabited by a merchant: you can buy two scales for 500 Sen each. Not far from here you will find a river: dive and go to the bottom to find the third scale. You will have to donate the Water of the Palace to the NPC on the shinobi door: doing so will transform into Okami who will reward you with 5 Scales if you defeat him.
The Forra
In the pond near the cave you will find the first two carp and a scale. Then donate the Water of the Palace also to the cleric, in the nearby village. Defeat the Okami it spawns to receive 5 more Scales.
Palace of the Source
Reach the upper left point of the Mibu courtyard to find a hole. Inside you will find three Scales and a unit of Palace Water. Then dive into the lake next to Shizu to find 7 more carp and 5 scales. Later you will find a bell thanks to which you can summon the Great Carp: feed it several times to get another 3 Scales.
