Skullgirls: Former developers open a new studio

At the beginning of the year, Lab Zero Games - known for titles like Skullgirls and Indivisible - took a considerable jolt. Its owner, Mike Zaimont, has received allegations of sexual harassment and creating a work environment that is not exactly suitable for teamwork. After several employees resigned in protest, the entire staff was fired a few weeks ago. In the wake of these events, former employees and developers have founded their own studio. The new policies of the newborn study will be those of giving priority to equal opportunities and sustainable development.

Former employees of Lab Zero Games have announced that their studio will be called Future Club. Future Club was officially formed this month and the new site made the announcement. As specified by the company, they will be in charge of developing new IPs and projects. As specified on the site, the company is actually a cooperative, where all employees will receive an equal share of the company.

Given the circumstances that occurred with Lab Zero Games, it is reasonable to think that the employees of the new studio will aim for a crystal clear working environment. Most likely they will aim for a sharing of responsibility and ownership. Even though the studio has recently opened, there are hopes that something may be coming out of the former Skullgirls developers soon.
