Regardless of the mode in which you choose to start playing, you will gain experience, which will increase your personal level and Requisition points, which will be used to unlock the components of the spaceships. By reaching level 40 it is already possible to unlock practically all components.
The game also provides a series of challenges, which allow you to get Glory, which allows you to unlock cosmetic items. In addition to the daily challenges, EA will also distribute Operations, eight-week events that allow you to obtain unique cosmetics, surpassing a leaderboard.
Events restart every eight weeks, so even if you miss a lap you can play the next. EA has therefore found a solid system that does not force microtransactions to players, who are instead more inclined to play to get the desired rewards.
