AMD, the world leader in the production of CPUs and video cards, has today updated the conditions of the StoreMI software which will no longer be available for download.
AMD has decided to end the lifecycle of the current version of the StoreMI technology and as of March 31, 2020, this technology will no longer be available for download on AMD.com. End users who download the current version of StoreMI prior to March 31, 2020 will be able to use it later, but AMD will not provide end user technical support.
AMD will concentrate its resources to eventually release a new platform by the end of 2020. Most likely AMD is working on a replacement solution to make that solution more stable and better.
AMD's StoreMI technology has offered users an option to combine up to 256GB of SSD memory with a slower HDD, thereby making the mechanical hard drive perform faster. StoreMI technology is supported by XNUMXnd and XNUMXrd generation Ryzen CPUs.
