The Callisto Protocol, a signed sci-fi horror title Striking Distance Studios and with arrival only during 2022, it will make the most of the potential of the new console Sony PlayStation 5.
To talk about it was Glenn Schofield, which took advantage of the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine UK to reveal how, in the plans of the team currently behind the game, there is an intention to make the most of the DualSense functionality of the PlayStation 5 platform.
The latter, according to Schofield's words, would in fact be perfect for creating unprecedented scares, ideal for a new generation title like The Callisto Protocol. To support this possibility would also be the settings of the horror game, to which the characteristics of the new Sony platform would give an extreme realism.
At the moment the team working on the next horror did not want to reveal further details, despite Schofield's words it is more than evident the desire to further explore the wide range of possibilities offered by next-gen hardware. To reassure players and all those interested in the game in this sense is also the past of Schofield, already known for having worked on Dead Space.
The Callisto Protocol, so far only shown through short films, it seems to have every intention of bringing back to the screen the atmospheres born from the 2008 game, in a perfect union of suspense and thrilling settings.
The certainties are few but, among the latter, the release of the title certainly falls: the latter is in fact fixed at 2022, the year in which the game will land on both PC and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S consoles. A similar period of time before the arrival on the market will give the team the opportunity to better implement all the potential of the new consoles, in an attempt to realize the desire to create a completely innovative horror title compared to its predecessors.
