The official date of the new edition of The Game Awards has been unveiled: the ceremony will be held on December 10 this year.
To reveal it was the same Geoff Keighley who also revealed the new modes of the 2020 edition.
First of all, the event, as always, will be possible to follow it online. Secondly, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony will not host an audience.
As a last big news, however, Keighley has announced that the edition will have direct connections from Los Angeles, London and Tokyo.
Within the ceremony, we will certainly see new trailers, announcements, World Premiere and the inevitable prizes at the 2020 games.
As for the announcements, Geoff Keighley does not want to overreact yet, stating only: "We are trying to prepare a great show and a great evening full of announcements and surprises for the fans. "
On the division of the show into three different cities, Keighyley expressed himself as follows: "Our goal is to make the entire gaming world feel interconnected. It's a big challenge, but it's also exciting to take the show to different locations. For a long time I have dreamed of taking The Game Awards to other cities. "
Recall that the 2019 edition saw Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice triumph as Game of the Year.
