The latest rumors about Battlefield 6 seem to rule out a cross-gen version for PS4 and Xbox One.
Chapter 6 of the Battlefield saga may not be published on previous generation consoles: a leak of the well-informed Tom Henderson in fact excludes a PS4 version | Xbox One, although originally in the pipeline.
Of course, in recent weeks leaks and rumors about Battlefield 6 they are not lacking at all. Of the many potential details that emerged, even the (not negligible) data that the cross-gen versions of the DICE FPS would be managed by a separate and dedicated team. But on this last aspect it is already a cold shower.
In other news, I still have yet to hear anything concrete that #BATTLEFIELD will come to past gen consoles. Theory - It indicates to me that it probably won't and the biggest reason #BATTLEFIELD will come to the Xbox Game Pass on day 1 is to boost up player numbers.

Abandoned plans therefore: projects on the development of Battlefield 6 for PS4 and Xbox One already seem offside. Instead, it has recently been said that the title could land on Xbox Game Pass on day-one, and according to Henderson this would represent an offensive strategy by EA to immediately target a high number of players from the start.
Anyway, a reveal of the war shooter is expected as early as May, so it is likely that we will know more in a short time. You just have to activate the notifications, the Battlefield war-experience is about to debut on consoles in 4k and Ray Tracing.
