Last 8th December was celebrated on 15 anniversary of the Yakuza series: the first title arrived in Japan in 2005 for PlayStation 2, eventually reaching the rest of the world the following year. The anniversary occasion was greedy to provide some information also regarding Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
The last chapter of the series will arrive in its PlayStation 5 version also in Japan on March 2, with the possibility to choose between Japanese or English dubbing within the game in the new version.
They could not miss numerous gadgets inspired by the series, including a perfume set inspired by Kazuma and Ichiban, available exclusively in Japan from the Don Quixote chain. A book which will cover all 8 main chapters of the series, with additional information on the characters, due out in Japan on March 19 at the price of 3700 yen (about 30 euros); no additional information was provided on a possible exit to the rest of the world.
Finally, there was no shortage of special guests such as Toshihiro Nagoshi (the creator of the series) e Takaya kuroda (who plays Kazuma Kiryu), along with playthroughs of some chapters. For those who wish, here is the full video of the event:
