Daedalic Enterteinment's new graphic adventure, 1954 Alcatraz, tells the story of robber Joe, arrested for a massive theft of money and locked up in the auspicious walls of the Rock. He plans to escape, so he tries to piece together the pieces of a perfect escape plan. However, not being able to carry out all the preparations from inside the prison, he will ask for help from his better half, Christine, who will have to deal with a San Francisco of the 50s and all the enigmas that it hides.
Solution - Part I
Joe is on his cell bed mulling over the escape plan. He needs a bargaining chip for information, so he retrieves some money and pills from his hiding places. In addition to retrieving essential escape information, he will also have to inform Christine so that all preparations outside the prison can be completed. First he will have to retrieve three keys, which will give access to the hidden stolen goods.
After meeting with Joe monthly, Christine is hunted down by a mobster, Mickey, and his bodyguard. The two are interested in collecting the money and threaten the woman, who is forced to falsely accept their conditions. Christine's apartment is turned upside down and after tidying it up it will be possible to acquire many items.

Solution - Part II
Now we need to get the two lovebirds back together, and this very important little quest needs to wander around the city a bit. The newly acquired love letter is not enough. It will be necessary to accompany it with a rose and some other beautiful words. Once they take off their Cupid's clothes, it turns out that the key is in a diary that has been sold in the bookstore, and the saleswoman doesn't seem to want to get rid of it for free. At this point it will be necessary to go to the sick owner of the house and prepare a hot soup for her: certainly she will not lower the cost of the rent, but she is a woman full of information and very important resources. His key is hidden in a radio he received as a gift from Joe, and to get it you will need to go to the backstage of the opera at the end of the street. Perhaps it is used to open something in an unused apartment of his: the inspection of the aforementioned building was not exactly welcoming.

Solution - Part III
Reaching the apartment from the front door is not exactly the best choice. You'll have to walk around the block and enter the fire escape. A gunman will write whatever is said, and not, without ever taking his hands off his typewriter. He doesn't even seem reluctant to have Christine approach the safe / refrigerator, as he doesn't have the magic words. On the other hand, three hundred manuscript sheets can be recovered to exchange the library for the diary.
The painter who sits at the bar was in possession of the third and final key, but says she lost it in an exhibition. As soon as it is recovered, Mickey will come and steal it. Recovering it will not be easy at all:

Solution - Part IV
Joe has been placed in solitary confinement and some documents will have to be forged to get him out. The brave hostess will prove to be up to this task. This way Joe will be able to resume his information hunt and stir things up a bit.
Once he discovers the nefarious plan, he will have to retrieve some items and can only do so by rolling up his sleeves and carrying out some errands inside the prison.

Solution - Part V
Once all the repair work is done, the jailer who will be checking Joe will ask him to fix the television and telephone in his house. His wife will be in the house waiting for both of us and he seems too helpful. Although all the work is finished, it will still be possible to wander around the prison and, by going to the electrical plant, the man who caused Joe's isolation (Gas Pipe) will want to give him a good reason: a great opportunity to get to the infirmary and continue with the escape plan.

Solution - Part VI
After causing Mickey a sanitation crisis, he will leave the room to go clean up - it's time to get his hands on his safe using the modified combination. The objects inside will allow the priest to be blackmailed into acting as an intermediary with poor Joe in prison. The latter, in fact, will give a piece of paper with a message to be delivered to Christine, with which she can access the refrigerator and recover the money. Later, with Viv's help, he will be able to create false identities for her and her partner.
Meanwhile, Joe continues to escape, misleading the guards with a puppet in bed and delving into the depths of Alcatraz. But he will have to take a deep breath: the swim will be long!
