Animal Crossing: New Horizons won Game of the Year (GOTY) title at Tokyo Game Show. In a year not quite to remember, there have been several titles that have brought a new wave of fun to players' homes. One of them is the Nintendo title. In a few months it managed to become one of the best-selling games ever of the Japanese house and to win one of the most coveted titles in the world.
Some of the other winners are: Baba is You with the Game Designers Award, Pokemon Sword and Shield managed to grab the award for sales and the Global Award as a Japanese product. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare instead takes home the award for best foreign product.
Finally, Animal Crossing: New Horizons also won the award of the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. This award is given to anyone (individual or organization) who can contribute to the development and growth of the Japanese IT industry.
