One of the crucial aspects in a shooter like Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare is the aim, essential to master if we want to win all gunfights. In this guide we will analyze the best settings to improve the aim on Warzone and towards the end we will also give you some tips to increase your accuracy even more in the game.
Let's start by saying that by changing these settings you will not become immortal, but you will be much less penalized than those who use the standard settings. Having said that, let's see what to change to significantly improve our aim.
consul
People who play console games are likely to have a bigger improvement, given that the standard controller settings are quite unbalanced, opening up a decidedly interesting room for improvement. So let's go to the options menu, more precisely in the controller menu and let's start modifying some parameters.
The first parameters to be modified are those relating to sensibility. You will have heard conflicting opinions, there are those who use very high sensitivities, others very low and those in the middle; in fact it is a very subjective parameter, however to have a very high sensitivity penalizes your aim exponentially, especially in the medium / long range, which is the most frequent battles on Warzone. We must therefore try to find a balance between movement and precision, and generally a sensitivity values such as 6 or 7 you can easily find a more than valid compromise. However, since it is a subjective parameter, there are no empirical data, here it is all in your gaming experience, so do various tests and see which value is right for you.
Let's now move on to the other parameters:
- Viewfinder mode sensitivity multiplier (reduced zoom): 0,75/0,85
- Viewfinder mode sensitivity multiplier (high zoom): 1,00
In the standard version these parameters are both set to 1,00, therefore without changes to the multiplier in viewfinder mode. Our change focuses on the reduced zoom viewfinder mode, then the classic one of the various weapons in aiming mode. By lowering this parameter we will also reduce the multiplier, this means that when we are in aiming mode the response to our movements will be slower, making it easier to manage the recoil of weapons and more generally target tracking.
We leave the parameter relating to sniper rifles or in any case to weapons with high zoom optics unchanged, but if you need more mobility you can increase it or vice versa lower it to be more precise.
- Reaction Curve Aim: Dynamic
The target reaction curve is another very interesting element, in fact when set to "Dynamic" it will allow you to improve a lot of mobility and aim. In practice what happens with the dynamic mode is that when we use the levers to move, making very large movements with the levers, the sensitivity will be higher, allowing us to be faster. The other way around, doing lighter movements, the sensitivity will be lower, making us more precise.
- Aim assist: Standard
Aim assist on console is a crucial parameter, as it allows you to be accurate simply by aiming at the target. Obviously this is a very light assist, however using the correct setting can make a difference. The mode "Standard" it's the one that has always been on Call of Duty and we also find it on Warzone, so with the aim starting to slow down when the target is close to our viewfinder, regardless of which part of the body we are aiming for. The mode "precision" instead it tends to slow down only when we are practically on target, so you have to be much more precise. The mode "Concentrated" it is activated when you just miss the target and tends to be activated when we want to take headshots, facilitating the task.
Based on our tests the best mode is undoubtedly the standard one: it is not invasive, it improves our aim and is activated on any part of the enemy, thus improving the final time to kill.
PC
As for PC gamers, it's a little different. however, date easier target management with the mouse, which therefore makes the settings different from the console ones. We obviously don't have all the talk of aim assist and various aids, however we can act on some settings that will surely improve the game as a whole and also our aim.
Graphic settings
It will be obvious but it is important to say, the graphics settings are very important to improve the aim on Warzone, in fact many filters dramatically worsen the vision of enemies and can also lead to frame drops in the most hectic situations. For this reason we recommend that you change the following filters:
- Environmental Occlusion: disabled
- FOV: 100,00
- Film Filter: 0,00
- Motion Blur Weapon: disabled
- Ambient Motion Blur: disabled
- V-Sync: disabled
- Anti-Aliasing: SMMA T2X
- Ray Tracing: disabled
- Environmental occlusion: disabled
Sensitivity
In this case the situation changes slightly, in fact the sensitivity is much more subjective, so unlike the console version we will keep the two parameters unchanged:
- Viewfinder mode sensitivity multiplier (reduced zoom): 1,00
- Viewfinder mode sensitivity multiplier (high zoom): 1,00
As for the horizontal and vertical sensitivity value, even here it is very subjective and depends on the DPI you normally use on your mouse. Generally cWith DPI values of 500, sensitivity of 7 is used, by increasing the DPI to 800 we can instead use 6. Obviously, as on consoles, do your tests and try to understand which is the most suitable for your needs.
General advice and conclusions
We've analyzed all the settings that can improve aiming in your Call of Duty: Warzone games, but now let's see some final tips to improve a little more. A first tip is about using the minimap: it may seem trivial but a good part of the players still use the round minimap, which is extremely wrong, since the square minimap allows you to have a greater area coverage, thus managing to highlight enemies much better.
The last piece of advice lies in practice, it will allow you to exponentially improve reflexes and the ability to quickly and fearlessly engage an enemy. The best way to practice and thus improve your aim in Warzone is to play multiplayer or play tons of games in Battle Royale / Swag. If you don't have the base game, however, another method of training can be to play private games with bots. Another method can be with solo games: use sprays with the shape of a target and train yourself to improve the management of the recoil of the weapons. In fact, each weapon has its own recoil and knowing it will allow you to counter it and therefore keep the aim fixed in the point you want.
