Chocolate Nation e Panasonic (well-known camera, TV and PC accessories company) announce their collaboration, capable of giving life to an immersive experience with a unique flavor. After hosting over 100.000 visitors in the first nine months of opening, the Antwerp museum confirms that its technology partnership with Panasonic has made it a truly must-see attraction.
Chocolate Nation has chosen Panasonic solutions for its museum areas, shops, restaurants and rooms for events and meetings, relying on technology that can guarantee a truly engaging experience. Panasonic's range of technologies includes 20 professional displays, 10 laser projectors, security cameras and state-of-the-art telephony solutions.
Since its opening, the museum has aimed at creating a 360-degree multisensory experience, a journey to discover the wonderful world of Belgian chocolate. Through 14 thematic areas, visitors are taken on a journey that starts in the jungle, where cocoa beans are grown, passing through the transport phase across the ocean, up to Antwerp, the largest port in the world for conservation of cocoa beans. This is where the preparation (and of course the tasting) of exquisite chocolate-based delicacies takes place.
“It is in the immersion of the experience that Panasonic plays a fundamental role,” explains Catherine Stuyck, Head of Marketing & Communications at Chocolate Nation. “Thanks to the large projections on the ceiling, walls and floor, visitors really have the feeling of being on a container ship on the high seas. By taking advantage of the light and sound effects, we can allow him to walk past a large imaginary machine in perfect Willy Wonka style, to see with his own eyes how chocolate is made. Continuing the tour, visitors encounter a virtual version of Antwerp's largest chocolate producers - all while in an experimental restaurant where we project striking images onto their plates. "
With over three years of planning ahead of them, the Chocolate Nation founders knew that choosing the right technology partner would be critical to reproducing a magical environment in the eyes of visitors and a reliable and profitable business infrastructure.
“After extensive market research, we have chosen Panasonic as our technology partner,” said Jeroen Jespers, Co-founder of Chocolate Nation. “Panasonic provided us with all the products we needed as well as proven know-how. The result is a very high quality attraction and an exceptional visitor experience. Obviously this was made possible by the absolute reliability of the technologies provided by Panasonic. In addition, their flexible installation outside opening hours and low maintenance equipment saves a lot of time. Should we decide to expand our business to other countries, we know we have, with a global partner of the caliber of Panasonic, full service directly on site. "
