How to conduct all boss fights in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. Second part.
The second part of our Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time boss fight guide starts with a old acquaintance villain of the saga Activision.
The fourth time of Neo Cortex
Start this fight with the Kupuna-Wa (slow-motion) mask. Cortex starts in the confrontation with green missiles whistling in the arena: dodge them using precisely the slow motion, if necessary. After a few seconds a rotating robot will appear: wait for it to feel dizzy, then push it back vs Neo (it will always be done like this from now on). Later, some electric pylons will appear at the front of the arena, firing bullets at you. Avoid them if useful with the slow motion and continue to reject the rotating robots.
The next phase combines missiles and electric projectiles, making everything quite complicated, but the strategy does not change. The arena will shrink twice and you'll still have to dodge missiles. You will be targeted with red lasers and will have to duck or slide under the beam. The robot will appear again and you just have to push it back once more to beat Cortex. But it won't be the last. Continue in this Crash Bandicoot 4 boss fight guide to understand why.
A hole in space: Dr. N.Tropy
You will start on a track, collecting berries. Once this sequence is complete, you will be on the outer edge of a ton of platforms. Using Akano's Dark Matter Spin, go through the slow moving ones, dodging N. Tropy's laser fire. You will then find Kupuna-Wa, the mask of time. Use slow-motion to move across the platforms quickly until you reach the station in the middle.
Next, you will equip Ika-Ika, the gravity mask. You will have to rotate the base of the red lasers: some will be on the floor, others on the ceiling. Once everything is destroyed, N. Tropy will chase you to the other side, so you'll have to turn the red lasers again and come back. The battle progressively develops like this until the end.
The Past Unmasked - Neo Cortex
The last of the boss fights, in this Crash Bandicoot 4 guide, sees the protagonist, as anticipated, again Neo Cortex. The fight begins on a metal platform composed like a grid. The first two rows will fall and a gun will appear in the middle. Dodge the bursts of circular energy and jump over the weapon three times to destroy it. Two more of these weapons will appear in the corners. Jump on both three times each to get rid of them. Next, an enemy will spawn in the lower right: dodge its rockets and push it back to send it back vs Cortex.
Cortex will later harness the power of Lani-Loli, and the arena will grow in this phase. The mask will launch a wave of platforms at you and you will have to jump on them to avoid falling. This is repeated from the left, from behind and from the right. Subsequently, two of the previous weapons will appear on either side and you'll have to jump on them three times (as before) while dodging the missing floor segments as well. Ditto for the enemy rocket launcher.
Cortex will then come towards you and shoot three lasers as he goes left to right, and then back again. Jump over the red lasers and dive under the blue ones. More will flip gravity (and the screen!) while still firing lasers. Get rid of the guns that will appear once again and then send the enemy back to Cortex.
In the next section, you'll have to get past the falling platforms and time will slow down intermittently. Destroy the guns as before, and again, hit the enemy by throwing them at Cortex. The rest is a mix of weapons and lasers with the behavior already seen. Send them all back to Cortex for permanent elimination (unless you come back in a fifth chapter!).
